Press Reviews
Born in 1977, Mirit is a graduate of the Shenkar School for Engineering and Design in Fashion Design and Design for Performing Arts. Her end-of-year collection drew much attention as well as an invitation to participate in Diesel's ITS#ONE - International Talent Support - in Italy. The collection, entitled "You Are a Queen..." focuses on the inherent contradiction between people's fantasies of status, power and beauty, and the harsh reality of maintaining such a lofty position. In the picture at right, for example, the design is rich and glorious, but simultaneously restrictive and uncomfortable.

Immediately after graduating, Mirit was invited for a long year of internships in London and Paris under some of the hottest fashion figures, such as Alexander McQueen - Europe's new "king of fashion," Li Edelkoort - the "guru" of fashion predictions and the editor of "View" magazine, and Albert Elbaz at Lanvin - one of the leading fashion houses in Paris. Now back home, Mirit started working on her own collection, and is to present it to the public under the name Reine (queen).

Mirit Weinstock was chosen by the distinguished members of IcExcellence Advisory Board for Fashion: Gershon Bram, Lea Peretz, Riki Gindes and Shira Breuer.

IcExcellence is supporting Mirit in tailor-made artistic programs, and providing special career advancement consulting.

Getting a bold endorsement from a fashion legend in the making is always a welcome omen. But from the looks of Israeli-born designer, Mirit Weinstock’s stunning new women’s line, Reine, the plug is secondary. refinery 29, 2006: http://www.refinery29.com/archives/editorial-features/000480.php

"Every once in a while we come across a debut collection that's so heart-stopping we can't believe it's by a desighner who's just out of the gate...Her pieces manage to be both gorgeously feminine and nonchalantly cool, and they drip with the kind of sophistication you usually only find from the highest of the end..."
