| Press Reviews |
"Weinstein has made his mark over the past two years as one of the most promising young artists in Israel."
Smadar Shefi, Haaretz, 2001
"The most impressive work of 2002.....A glorious monument to a past dream, a tremendous production that does not spill over into megalomania but rather speaks of it smilingly, at floor level, with self-directed irony and compassion."
"Jeezrael Valley," Ruthie Director, Ha'Ir, 2002
"The images Weinstein creates, using steel wool adhered to the wall, in varying densities, come across as memory traces....I am drawn to the work for its many complex relationships: the use of the steel wool to depict these soft focus patrolmen; the massive antagonistic, yet lovable...these all add up to a sublime installation."
"Man/Dog Teams," Art in General, NY, Rebecca Abrams, Art for Real, 2003
"... one of the most moving and impressive moments in contemporary Israeli art."
Hula Valley, Ruthi Director, Yediot Aharonot, Oct. 14, 2005
"It feels wonderful to see a beloved artist like Gal Weinstein reach his peak and use the museum space of "Helena" to create an all-encompassing symphony."
Hula Valley, Uzi Zur, Haaretz, Oct. 28, 2005
"The entrance hall to the Pavilion has not looked so unique, enticing and captivating for quite a long time."
Hula Valley, Omer Lachmanowitch, Makor Rishon, Oct. 28, 2005
